Ink Exchange

Just finished Ink Exchange, and enjoyed it very much. It was darker and a little more involved in Faery court politics than the Wicked Lovely. Here's my review...

Wicked, twisted, dark faery love. Leslie's journey to finding the self she lost nearly pushes her beyond the depths she'd thought to touch. The Dark King, Irial deceives with his truths and she succumbs to his ink exchange, while the noble yet tormented Niall wants only to protect Leslie from the darkness she cannot see or feel, yet can taste.
I liked that Leslie sought to reclaim herself through the tattoo, and yet, she couldn't realize it would tie her to another whose darkness far surpasses those who had once hurt Leslie. But she holds to her will and strengths and eventually sees the shadows and truths around her and manages to finally claim herself.
The dream of Faery is never as one can imagine. But once faery is in your blood—and under you skin—it can never be erased.
What a wonderful follow-up to WICKED LOVELY! I can't wait for the next book!
